Free Book of Virtues Study Guide

If you run over to Shiver Academy, you’ll find a huge free study guide for The Book of Virtues.  I haven’t been able to download it yet, as I am not at my own computer, but I’m guessing it will be wonderful.

I’ll be linking this to Canada Girl’s Tuesday meme as soon as she has it up for the week.  She usually has links to many other interesting frugal ideas.

See you tomorrow for a regular Tuesday post.  Don’t forget to sleep, sleeep, sleeeeeep

    Annie-Kate,

Good Morning! Thanks for checking in with me on my blog. Yes, we are all graduated and it's such a odd thing-trying to take it all in. I am praying that God will help me process these moments in a healthy way that is best for myself and our son!

I am very intersted in The Book of Virtues study guide. I have that book and love it, but have not given it much an effort in regards to using it in our schooling-occassionally I will pull it out for some small purpose.

I really like your blog. It's set up nice. I only wish I had more time to devote to mine and the knowledge. Maybe if I had more knowledge, I would need less time? HA! Now, that's a though! LOL-I'm sure there is a proverb out there for that one.

    Joyfully drinking my tea too,

    Shannon

Yes, Shannon, there is! Except it's in Ecclesiastes, which may mean it's not a proverb… 🙂 Here it is, and it's such a life-changer!

Ecclesiastes 10:10 "If the axe is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed but skill will bring success."

After all that, though, I want to confess that I know very little about blogging, although that little bit is growing every week.

Thank you for the compliment on how the blog is set up. I just chose a pretty template and kept things as plain as possible so those on dial-up can read it too. And I love blue. It's such a peaceful color.

I just discovered the forums (at the top ot the control panel) and there's one there for new bloggers. Hopefully I will be able to spend some time there over the next few weeks, learning a few more things.

To see how to make Rhubarb Aide go here…

    http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/Canadagirl/542102/

We make it with organic honey and sell it for six dollars a litre. It sells real well around here. People like it as a lemon aide type drink or some have even said they were going to add it to their Christmas punch or martinis. So it seems very versitile to many people. If you do anything like this make sure you feed your rhubarb plants well with fertilizer ( manure) and give it lots of room to grow and lots of water. You can get 2-3 harvests out of the plants depending if you keep it well watered. [0= Hope that helps.

    Blessings and ((HUGS)) my SSiC

PS: I am very thankful to the Lord you have found my blog. You have been a BIG blessings to me. ((HUGS))
