Support Adopt–a-Classroom for Free

With all the emphasis on giving to those far away, we sometimes tend to forget those in North America.  And, face it, most of us do not have unlimited funds to assist all the people we want to help

Now, we all know that the public education system is in trouble.  In fact, some schools are having a hard time making important classroom purchases like books, learning games, and manipulatives.  As a homeschooler, I know how important these ‘extras’ can be to children.  But what can one person do?

Well, it turns out that there is a very simple way for bloggers to contribute:  Elmer’s  Bagging It Forward program.  Elmer’s will be donating $10 to Adopt-A-Classroom for each blog post about the program, up to $10,000.  The way to get the word out is to donate a virtual bag of school supplies to another blogger…or two…or three.

I am donating a virtual bag of school supplies to Kristen and Tina, because they both work hard for the needy—Kristen with her support for Compassion International, and Tina with her Food Pantry.  I’m also donating one to Crystal who knows what it is like to pinch pennies and who also loves to help others.

Thanks to Heather for my virtual bag of school supplies!
