Fit Mommy Friday

Here?s to my second year with Fit Mommy!  I?m so thankful to be on the road to health and strength.   If you want to get fit and need some accountability, join in.  It?s easy.  It?s free.  And it?s very worthwhile.

Here?s how I did this week:

Average at least 6000 steps, five days a week.    My pedometer broke after the fourth day, but I know I averaged over 8000 steps?and I?m not physically exhausted!  Nature walks are so much fun for us all, and they are healthy, too.

Do my physio exercises regularly.  Yes!

Avoid sugar six days a week.   No.  We had a gluten-free black forest cake and enjoyed it two days in a row.  The same thing happened with the double chocolate cookies, and the sugar cookies.  Who says gluten-free baking isn?t tempting?

Eat lots of vegetables and yoghurt.   Absolutely.  I made wonderful yoghurt and one meal we had so many vegetables I couldn?t even finish mine!  Next week will be even better, because we?re focussing on eating from the freezer.

Rest daily.   Yes.  Resting, regrouping, Bible reading, dozing, sleeping, sleeping, sleeping?.  What a battery recharger that is!  Even though I no longer need to nap everyday, life is better when I do.

If you want to join the Fit Mommies, just visit Denise at Got Chai?  As you can tell from my posts, you don?t need to be very active or healthy to participate, although some of the Fit Mommies are.

      Hi Debbie,

Thanks so much for wanting to follow me! 🙂

I’m planning to set up Google Friend Connect and rework my blog (got to get rid of those crazy rotating headers that popped up last month!) but with homeschool blogger we don’t always have access to all of the background workings of our blogs. (There are safety issues that the tech guys work on for us.)

I’ll let you know when that’s all set up.

Wow you are doing fantastic!!!!! My pedometer is not working correctly…I think it is done for. But I know how far I have to walk to meet the goal so now I just need to get out there and do it!

  6. Sarah says:

I’ve started using a step counter – partly becasue of your posts. It doesn’t start counting until I’ve walked for 4 seconds and as our house is small I can almost get all over it without registering a single step. Hmmm. My current goal is much less modest than yours, but achievable I think!
    God bless you!

  7. Annie Kate says:

Oh, that’s frustrating! On the other hand, if it gets you outside where you can walk for more than 4 seconds, it may be a great blessing. I get most of my good walking done outside. Today I was too tired and foggy.

Sigh! At least I’m not as ill as Miss 18 was!
