Wordless Wednesday: Fruit Harvest

Our first crop of pears.  We're not really sure what to do with them, but are trying pear jam.

    Wow, that is a lot of fruit, looks yummy. My sister made canned pears once and we used them for toppings on ice cream or other snacks or just ate them straight.

      Our pears are too ripe to be good for canning, although that would be yummy!

      For lunch we had pear muffins, we’re making candied pears, and we had pear pie for supper.

      After eating the pear pie, we’ve decided not to make the jam after all but to freeze pears for more pies.
