How long, O LORD? Will you forget her forever?
How long will you hide your face from her?
How long must she wrestle with her thoughts
and every day have sorrow in her heart?
How long will her enemy triumph over her?
Look on her and answer, O LORD my God.
Give light to her eyes, or she will sleep in death;
Her enemy will say, “I have overcome her,” and her foes will rejoice when she falls.
But we trust in your unfailing love;
Our hearts rejoice in your salvation.
We will sing to the LORD,
For he has been good to her.
