I was just “crusing” throught the homeschool blog about organization and I was not able to see your article. I snooped around (cute site) and was not able to locate it either. Perhaps you can send me the direct link?

    Thanks!

HI, I was looking at some of your reviews. I appreciate you time. Read about your Ray’s Math.

Anyway I am switching over to RC program with a bit of my own CM flair and reading.

Always used Math U See in the Past – Then have recently when to Chalkdust for the older children.

So to do RC math it is Flash cards, then Saxon. But I will be going to Chalkdust but do have to have some kind of middle math before I get to the first chalkdust. And I to need it not to be teacher intensive – as you mentioned Ray’s is. You mentioned in your post having to go to one that you like and have used for a bit now. May I ask which math it is that you use. Thanks

Hi, I am researching a GAPS diet vs Specific Carbohydrate Diet for my 10 year old who has issues with her digestive system (diarrhoea) which I believe it triggered an autoimmune response alopecia (loss of eyelashes from one eye and now she’s losing hair from one eyebrow, same side) – she has been on GFDF diet for the last 4 months. I was wondering what are your thoughts on this GAPS diet vs Specific Carbohydrate Diet? Have you done a comparison between the two diets?

    Thank you very much.
    Runa

    1. Annie Kate says:

      Hi Runa,
I am not an expert on these matters. You may wish to check out Wardeh’s GAPS series where these issues are discussed in more detail. http://gnowfglins.com/2012/06/20/lets-demystify-the-gaps-diet/#

But your most important next step would be to find a qualified holistic doctor who could help you with diagnosis. Even your ordinary doctor would be able to rule out other important issues which could be causing her issues.

May God bless your daughter and the care you give.

      Hi Suja,

That is an excellent question and I plan to devote an entire blog post to it in the next week. Some wonderful free resources are also available.

        Hi Suja,

It took a bit longer than I had planned, but here are a few options for you.

I have tried emailing you to ask you where to find the Singapore PLSE book and the NEM series that you use for your children and recommend as part of your math curriculum, but it constantly states ‘invalid email.’ I have tried searching but it has been in vain. Wondering if you could provide specific links for those. Also, does this take them all the way through high school age or is there more that you do? Thank you in advance

    1. Annie Kate says:

      Hi Narie,
I’m so sorry I did not notice this question sooner!

We bought our Singapore books from Heritage Resources in Canada, as far as I recall. They do not currently sell the PLSE book or any of the NEM, but they would know where to get them and are good about doing special orders. If you are in the US, you might want to find a different homeschool supplier. Or you could try the second-hand market.

PS I think the email address is fixed.
