Even though last week’s Rideau Trail walk was all along roads and we had no adventures, we still we able to enjoy a lot of beauty. Snow and ice were everywhere.
Starting on the other side of the missing bridge, we walked past farms.
I was amazed at the amount of vines on these fences. We couldn’t get close enough to be sure, but they were probably wild cucumber vines.
We also crossed a small river with trees sparkling in the sunshine. There is something magical about the music of iced twigs when the wind blows through them.
I am enjoying your photos so much! Gorgeous shots of the horse and bridge…we do not have snow here yet, but I am actually looking forward to having a bit of snow and ice, it is so pretty. I’m glad to see you having such fun!
PS: thanks for checking in on me–my blog is a mess right now. My husband has been ill (turns out he has a hernia troubling him) and between that and Thanksgiving I have neglected blogging. I still have some reviews to do, but reevaluating how I’m spending my time on here:)

Are you sure you want ice and snow? It always makes life so difficult, and I’m glad we don’t have much yet. But, you’re right, it is beautiful if you don’t have to go out.
I hope your husband will soon be well. Hernias are no fun.

It looks so cold! We are having very cold weather though we’ve got very little snow here compared to the other side of the country which is 2 feet deep in snow!
