Fit Mommy Friday

This was a week of sunshine, rain, puddles, and numerous distractions, but I was able to focus somewhat on fitness—not a determined, dedicated focus, but one consistent with my other responsibilities.

Go for a walk at least once a day… Most days I walked, sometimes outside, sometimes in stores, and today I plan to walk, slowly, around an art gallery.

Do calisthenics at least 3 times a weekNo, but I gardened a bit, spring cleaned a bit, exercised a bit, and paid a lot of attention to my posture.

Avoid sugar six days a week …  No, but I did turn it down some of the time.  Fortunately the cookies in the cookie jar may contain gluten, so I haven’t been tempted by them.

Eat lots of vegetables and yoghurt.  Drink kefir. We had veggies and yoghurt, but not kefir.  There are a lot of veggies in the fridge, so we’re all set for this weekend as well.

Rest daily, and do more fun things with the kids… Yes to the resting.  Today we’re going to the art gallery, and that will be fun for at least some of us.  We enjoyed the leaders’ debate for the Canadian election, watched our seeds come up, and laughed through Kipling’s Just So Stories …omitting the same stories as the last time I read it aloud.

How about you?  Did you exercise, eat well, and relax happily this week?

If you want to join Fit Mommies, just visit Denise at Got Chai? As you can tell from my posts, you don’t need to be very active or healthy to participate, although some of the Fit Mommies are.

Great week! I should add, do more fun things with the kids, to my goals!

Drink some kefir for me. I’m off diary and I miss it! We used to make kefir but the youngsters blended and drank the jar of storage grains I had before I could stop them.

I’ve got to get the kefir out…I hope it is still good! It did seem to help a lot when I was taking it, but keeping it fed and loved was a bit of a job.

I love the idea of having fun with my children as a goal! I always feel more productive and relaxed after playing with them.

You, too, huh? I think it must be very healthy to do that…and besides, that’s the mommy part of Fit Mommy, right?
