Homeschool Freebies of the Day has a very interesting offering today, Straight Talk To Parents and Teens from Homeschool Graduates. This 83 page eBook shares the responses of more than 200 homeschool graduates to a survey that concentrated on four questions.
1. What is your best advice for PARENTS who are currently homeschooling their teenagers?
2.What is the most important advice or encouragement you would like to share with TEENS who are still in homeschool?
3. If you could go back in time and change something about your own homeschool experience, what would it be?
4. What are other thoughts / encouragements / warnings / ideas that you would share with other homeschooling families as they complete their homeschooling years?
Some of the comments were funny, some sad, some helpful, and some leave me scratching my head. I certainly don’t agree with every idea mentioned, but it’s good to think about them. Our family will be discussing this book to see if we should make any changes to our homeschool.
If you wish another opinion, you can read the review in the Washington Times.
Straight Talk To Parents and Teens from Homeschool Graduates is free today only; after that it is available for $4.95. Visit the website to find out more about the book … and to order if it’s past March 22, 2010.
