We have been homeschooling for many years, and each year I try to make an individualized learning plan for each child.
Here are some of these plans, as well as some of the curriculum changes we made along the way:
Grades 9/10 and 11/12–relaxed yet academic learning (2017-2018)
Grades 7, 9, 12 (2014-2015)
Grades 6,8, and 11 (2013-2014)
Choosing a new spelling/vocab curriculum for grade 8 (2013-2014)
Grades 5, 7, 10, 12 (2012-2013)
Midyear changes in elementary science and high school Bible, literature, and history (2012-2013)
Tweaking Apologia Advanced Chemistry and Physics for Grade 12 (2012-2013)
Our un-schedule with grades 5, 7, 10, and 12 (2012-2013)
Grades 2/3, 5, 8, 10, 12 (2010-2011)
Hi.
I am compiling resources for my homeschool pinterest account and am in search of materials that are not aligned with federal common-core standards.
I was wondering if your “Understanding Algebra I” is aligned with the common-core standards.
Thank you.
If you look at the publisher’s website for the book, part way down the page, you can click on exam prep to see a list of tests that it is supposed to prepare students for: http://www.criticalthinking.com/understanding-algebra.html
You can find out more about it from my review, and it is a quality resource: http://anniekateshomeschoolreviews.com/2015/04/review-understanding-algebra-1-by-terri-husted/
I hope that helps. I’d check the book itself, but we have thousands of books and this one has gone wandering and I wasn’t able to find it quickly.
I’d be interested in seeing that Pinterest board!
