Prayer for our Countries

Happy Independence Day to all of you down South!

Although we all have issues with the things our governments are doing, let us remember to pray for our nation and its rulers.

“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.  This is good and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”  1 Timothy 2: 1, 2

Have a blessed weekend, and see you next week for another Tea Time with Annie Kate.

And a happy belated Canada Day to you! We have two fireworks shows we go to ..one on the 3rd and one on the 4th. Last nights was beautiful. Had a great time with our church. We always have a huge picnic before the fireworks.

Yes it has been busy. Wedding is in one week! I do think I can make it! Lots of details to still work.

It encourages me to pray to remember that Paul wrote that in a time when the government was less than stellar — at times, it persecuted Christians visciously. We do need to pray for our leaders. Thanks for the reminder.

If we don't pray for our countries, what hope will we have of things improving? Good post!

Thanks for stopping by my blog 🙂
