Weekly Wrap-Up: Company

In my life this week… We had company of one sort or another almost all week, with all the attendant good food, conversation, and board games.  We even had a musical evening like we used to, with flute, recorder, organ, and singing.  Grandma and Grandpa are staying for a week, so the fun will continue.

In our homeschool this week…  We’re only doing the bare minimum while Grandma and Grandpa are here.

Helpful homeschooling tips or advice to share…  When planning the year, it’s good to allow some extra time for extended visits and other special occasions.

Places we’re going and people we’re seeing… Places:  the library, judo, catechism, stores.  People:  friends, Miss 19, Grandma and Grandpa.

My favorite thing this week was… All the company.

Questions/thoughts I have…  Why are there only 24 hours in a day?

Things I’m ‘working’ on

  1. Visiting.
  2. Trying to walk 6000 steps a day despite the bad weather by walking inside.  Although it’s not the same, inside is a lot less slippery!

I’m reading
Luke. I finished Four Letter Words, The Emancipation of Robert Sadler, and The Odyssey in The Children’s Homer.  I’m reading The Odyssey, Turn Right at Machu Pichu, Fit and Fabulous in 15 Minutes, and Chosen by God.

With the kids, we’re reading Luke and not much else; they’re too busy playing games with Grandpa.

I’m grateful for …  Company.  Salt for icy roads.  Chocolate.  Sleep. Vitamin C.

I wish we had more hours in the day as well. There is always so much to do and not enough time to finish them.
