Many wonderful family outings are very expensive. Zoos, water parks, and other tourist attractions can cost as much as a family’s weekly grocery budget! But it is great to be able to enjoy such a treat once in a while.
While preparing for our recent holiday, I discovered online coupons and registration discounts. What a difference they can make, especially when you multiply the savings per ticket by the number of family members!
It pays to plan ahead. We were unable to take advantage of some discounts because we did not have a printer available while we were on holidays; if I’d been more prepared, we could have printed out the coupons or discount registrations while we were still at home.
Occasional family splurges are fun, but they are even more fun if they don’t cost too much.

That is so true! We have saved lots of $ by using that tip.
Yes, a very good idea to check online and print before going! Perhaps I should add this to my packing list that I keep on an Excel spreadsheet when we go camping.

Oh, Jenn, you are so very organized! What a wonderful idea to make Excel spread sheets for lists. Could you post about that sometime?

Great tip! We do many things online–even to paying for our dinner with Restaurant.com!
I’ve never even heard of Restaurant.com! Thanks for sharing!

What a great tip ! I hope to be organised before we go to Vancover Island in the fall and Washington coast in the winter. Every bit helps. Thanks for the reminder.

Thanks also for linking up!
We have discovered just recently many freebies and 1/2 price coupons to our favorite places. These are usually time sensitive and we have to remember to check on line each week.
That’s a great idea, Tina! I’ll have to check more often. Thank you.

I have never tried to do this and will have to if we ever go on vacation again :-). Seriously, we will, but probably not soon with a baby due at the end of the year.
