WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT
It looks as though this little weather icon from the Environment Canada forecast may come true for us. All winter, our weather has been blissfully boring. Now we could be in for our first storm, complete with cancellations and coziness.
I sympathize with those who’ve had their fill of winter, but for us it’s the first storm, and I’m excited.
The children, however, are more realistic. “Will we get a snow day like the other kids in Ontario?” they wonder.
We just had that storm and it is wild here in OK!
Hmm…just when I had recommitted to my daily walks. Looks like I might need to stay in for a day or two.
It’s so much fun to walk in a storm. It takes more effort, but it gives you an idea of what so many in history went through. Definitely an educational experience.

Sounds like a logical question from your children, lol. Hope you all enjoy your snow!

Now I’m asking the same question: Should I give our family the day off? We’d all like a snow day, but when, oh, when would we catch up? Besides, we just had a week off when our company was here.

No snow day here. I might have allowed it if the power was out, as it was one morning last week. We have too many interruptions already, what with outside of home classes and the girls working part time.
It looks like the storm didn’t develop nearly as severely as they predicted, anyway. So now I have no excuse not to walk. Actually I like to walk in all kinds of weather. It’s just having the strength of mind to leave my warm house.
haha, my kids always ask me why we don’t take snow days. I tell them because I prefer to take sunny days instead. 8-D
