Tea Time with Annie Kate Rotating Header Image

Fit Mommy Friday

Once again it’s been an outside week, interspersed with inside moments…because being outside in the gardens is sometimes just a bit too much exercise.  To put it plainly, I overdid it.  Although it’s hard to face the fact that I’m not strong, I know my sedentary friends would have been just as tired.  I’m grateful to be able to keep up with them, most of the time!

So what did I do for my health this week?

  • spent many hours outside.
  • weeded.
  • vacuumed our verandah, moving all the furniture about.  That was very tiring.
  • picked cherry plums, for hours.  That’s a huge amount of bending, stretching, turning and standing.
  • shopped and lifted heavy dog food bags.
  • practiced relaxation exercises while driving with Mr. 16. (He’s actually a good driver; I’m just not a good passenger.)
  • walked, several times, to the spot where my husband is cutting wood.  I even helped Miss 8 carry some wood back, but that was too much exercise for me.
  • walked—and even ran!—while scurrying about the yard.
  • cooked from scratch.
  • made yoghurt.
  • ate lots of garden produce.
  • drank a lot of water.
  • ate no sweets other than fruit, and tried to limit the number of cherry plums.
  • had fun with the kids, watching Sound of Music, reading Robinson Crusoe, playing in the sand, and just hanging out.
  • rested when I needed to, instead of keeping on going.

How about you?  Did you exercise, eat well, and relax happily this week?

Another Fit Mommy to visit is Jenn, who posts daily about her journey back to fitness at Back on Track.

Unfortunately, Mrs. White of The Legacy of Home has serious computer problems and is no longer able to host the Healthy Home Link Up.

Sounds like a busy week. Glad you got to do so much outside. 🙂

  3. You are doing such a GOOD job! Keep it up. I know how much work it is to garden, pick fruit, and bring in the wood. Give yourself a GOOD pat on the back for what you did. I have been blogging about my journey to better health if you are curious. We got to keep encouraging each other, okay? ((hugs))

Praying blessings on you as you are on your journey to good health.
