Another ho-hum fitness week, but by the end of it I felt so good that I stretched and bounced around just for fun. Here’s how my goals went:
Go for a walk at least once a day…I did this some days. Other days I ran around inside, cleaning, organizing, and dejunking. After all, it is spring and I’ve got this urge to spruce the place up. I also went walking in IKEA… and bought three trivets and four six-packs of glasses for $1.49 each. That’s a fair bit of exercise for very little money!
Do calisthenics at least 3 times a week…I did them when I felt like it. Nothing organized or routine, but certainly better than not moving at all.
Avoid sugar six days a week …Yes! Well, pretty close to that. I did have a cola to keep awake for driving one day.
Eat lots of vegetables and yoghurt. Drink kefir. Yes to the yoghurt and veggies, but I must confess that the kefir is hiding in the back of the fridge. I must either start using it again, or freeze it.
Rest daily, and do more fun things with the kids…I napped almost every day. And we had fun together. The Little Misses came along to IKEA and indulged in a breakfast special. (I watched them eat, wished I didn’t have celiac disease, and then remembered all the calories I wasn’t consuming.) Other fun things: we chuckled through the first week of Dave Ramsay’s high school curriculum, watched all five hours of Pride and Prejudice, gave neck rubs, discussed Christianity and art (based on Sproul’s Life Views), and chatted.
How about you? Did you exercise, eat well, and relax happily this week?
If you want to join Fit Mommies, just visit Denise at Got Chai? As you can tell from my posts, you don’t need to be very active or healthy to participate, although some of the Fit Mommies are.
Well, 5 hours of Pride and Prejudice would be a lot of fun!!! And I’ve only been to Ikea once. What a place. It’s probably good that there is not one near me. 🙂
