Here we are, almost at the end of October. Most homeschoolers have almost finished two months’ worth of schoolwork. Because of the garden harvest, our family has been working at half speed. When I mentioned that, one mom told me that her family was beginning week one. We’re all at different places, and so are our kids. And that’s perfectly fine.
But no matter where we are in this year’s homeschooling journey, I think we could all use a bit of inspiration. Tricia has put together a list of helpful posts from Curriculum Choice authors to encourage us. So pour yourself a cup of tea and settle in for a wee professional development break.
If you are able to, right now.
Far from storm Sandy’s center, even we are being hit by fierce winds. We are in no danger, unlike some of you right now, and we still have power. But by the grace of God we will all make it safely through this storm and have some leisure to sit and ponder how our homeschools are going.
In the meantime, we can all (re)learn this simple lesson: God is in control. Of the weather, of our families, of our homeschools. And that’s good, because He’s both loving and all-powerful.
God is in control, that is something we are trying to remember more and more with hubby’s ankle fracture. I’m glad you are not in the path of the eye of the storm. I hope there isn’t damage by you.
