Fit Mommy Friday

This was the week of headaches and tummy aches, dentist visits and lots of rain.  We are surviving, not exercising.  Here’s how I did with my fitness goals:

Average at least 6000 steps, five days a week.   Probably, although my pedometer was ‘sick’, too, and did not register my steps properly.  Walking a lot every second day and resting a bit the other days seems to work for me.

Do my physio exercises regularly and build up to the full reps by the end of the year. No.  I’ll start again soon.

Avoid sugar except on Sundays and major holidays.  I drank two cokes because I needed to drive twice when I was sleepy.  Other than that, I avoided sugar.

Eat lots of vegetables and yoghurt.   Yes, we ate a lot of vegetables and yoghurt.  This morning we had a crustless pumpkin pie, sweetened with a banana rather than sugar, for breakfast, with yoghurt.  That’s a great way to soothe tender tummies and enjoy some extra vegetables as well.

Rest daily.   Naps, reading on the couch, and generally being dopey all count, I suppose.  It’s amazing what two glasses of water and few minutes of lying down can do for a headache!

If you want to join the Fit Mommies, just visit Denise at Got Chai?  As you can tell from my posts, you don’t need to be very active or healthy to participate, although some of the Fit Mommies are.

You did well for being busy and ill. I hope next week is much better for you! Now that you’ve gotten lots of rest you’ll probably do really well next week!
