Be a Fit Mommy in the New Year

For two years now, the accountability of Fit Mommy Friday has been a great blessing in my life.  It’s one of the reasons I’ve been able to bounce back after being terribly ill.

If you are looking for fitness, Fit Mommy Friday can be part of your life, too.  Whether you want to lose weight, gain strength, feel better, or improve your overall health, the accountability and encouragement of Fit Mommy can help you.

Here’s how:

  1. You set your own goals, based on what will work for you.  Remember, realistic goals are more attainable.
  2. At the end of the week you post your triumphs and failures and set the next week’s goals.  Remember, everyone has failures…and that’s OK.  We’re all human, and there’s always next week.  The important thing is to keep on going, one step at a time.
  3. You leave a comment with your link at Fit Mommy Friday
  4. You visit and encourage other moms who are trying to get fit, and they will visit you.

It’s that simple.

And is it ever effective!  In the past two years I’ve seen so many pounds lost, backs strengthened, and eating habits changed!  I myself have gone from being unable to mash potatoes to vacuuming, hiking, and more.

So if you want to improve your fitness in 2012, I invite you to join Fit Mommy.  I post on Fridays, but you can sign in whenever it suits you.

Just remember, you do not have to be fit to join; you just have to want to improve your fitness. You do not need to be member of a gym, have a personal trainer, or own $200 runners.  Just go with what you have, use your common sense, and start. Somewhere.  You can do it!

You can begin this Friday by posting your goals for the next week.  I’m looking forward to meeting you as we encourage each other to care for the bodies God has given us.

I agree, and I’m going to try and remember to do this every Friday. I want to try and do a bit of a T-Tapp review tomorrow, that’s my plan. I’ll try and remember to link to the category also. Do you want me to use the graphic you made too?

I’m looking forward to the T-Tapp review. I’ve just got the basic stance down pat. That, for me, is exercise in itself! 🙂

Feel free to use the graphic. I’m hoping to put up the code in one of those little scroll boxes today, but I know you can do it without that. 🙂

      Blessings,

      Annie Kate

There are many ways to be active and to get healthier than just exercising. I hope you find something that works for you.

  5. Annie Kate, I wish I had time to do more exercising. I do squats in 3 sets of 30/day and it has revolutionized my balance and clarity, etc. I am excited to see this, though, and want to tell several friends about it 🙂 Happy new year, friend!

    1. Annie Kate says:

Even if you only manage 10 minutes a day, that’s a good start. The squats sound like they are really working for you!

I know you eat well, so that’s already great.
