Last month, I wrote about Portraits of Integrity, Volume 1 by Marilyn Boyer. You can read that post here to find out more about the Boyers and the Portraits of Integrity series.
Now Portraits of Integrity, Volume 2 is on sale for $1.99 from today until Friday at midnight.
Because I found out about the sale yesterday, I’ve only had time to read a few of the 14 character building stories so far. They were all exciting and moving. Each chapter defines a character trait, presents a relevant Bible text, tells a story about a person who demonstrated that quality, and then has a list of questions, both factual and motivational. Both well-known people, like Amy Carmichael and Abraham Lincoln, and people I had never heard of, like General Pyotr Wrangel and Darya Efimova, are represented.
What a great way to make character qualities come alive and teach history at the same time! I’ve just listed both volumes of Portraits of Integrity on my tentative homeschooling plans for next year.
Because I wanted to get the news of the sale out to you quickly, I have not had the time to read the entire ebook yet. However, knowing Marilyn Boyer, I can cheerfully recommend it to you.
Disclosure: Ashley of Ambient sent me this ebook to preview for you.
As always, thank you for the tip!
