encouraging each other to care well for the bodies God has given us
by being active, eating wisely, and relaxing adequately
Last week’s Fit Mommy check in was almost perfect. This week’s is the complete opposite. I cannot understand how and why, but I’ve been able to do almost nothing this week. Perhaps I was fighting the cold my family caught. In any case, I lost my energy. In a way that was good, for I’ve been able to catch up on a lot of my reading while lying on the couch.
Hopefully I’ll be a going concern next week again!
So here’s how my goals went this week:
Record my fitness accomplishments each day… Yes.
Go for a daily walk and average 7500 steps a day … Hah! Here are my steps: 2800, 4900, 3200, 4500, 3000, 3500 for a stunning average of 3650. Hopefully that will almost double by next week.
Do my physio exercises 5 or 6 days a week … Half of the repetitions, once.
Do a tiny bit of the Callanetics maintenance program with Miss 15 five days a week… I did 5% to 10% of the recommended repetitions, once.
Do 15 repetitions of my eye exercises 5 days a week, relax my eyes whenever I think of it, and smile at my work. …Twice.
Avoid sugar five days a week … Almost, except for some more of those peanut butter balls and some low-sugar cheese cake.
Eat lots of vegetables, including fresh ones, and yoghurt, as well as one fermented or soaked food a week … Lots of fruit, a decent amount of vegetables, a little bit of yoghurt, and one breakfast of soaked buckwheat.
Eat substantial breakfasts … Most days, yes.
Relax daily…Yes, and it was so necessary!
Spend time outside… No energy for that.
Have fun with the kids, including active fun… No energy for active fun either, but we did read aloud a fair bit.
Have you had a healthy week?

If your body was successfully fighting off a virus, then you have had an excellent week!
Thanks, Sarah Elizabeth!
Jenn, you’re so right! Fighting off a virus is a lot of work. That makes me feel a whole lot better. 🙂
This is making feel like a slug! Ha! But I do love to get out and take long walks with my husband 🙂 I used to have a step counter…wonder where it got to?!
I’m sorry about the energy drop. At least you are able to look at the positives(like catching up on reading) of resting up!
I had a crazy workout on Thursday evening into Friday early morning. ; ) Now I will have to start over on getting fit again although if there is a report for the next few weeks it won’t be very impressive.
Whoops, I forgot my link. http://briana-icantdecide.blogspot.com/2013/03/40-weeks-and-belly-pic.html
Oh, no, I’m sure you’re not a slug at all, Jacqueline! 🙂
Briana, I guessed right about that crazy work out of yours! Ladies, visit her link to see the cutest baby ever…and a mom who looks great after delivery. All those workouts paid off!
I’ve been doing a lot of resting too, for other reasons. 🙂 I hope you are feeling better this week.
Yes, much better! And I hope you, too, will be able to rest and get well.
