Unfit Mommy Update

Well, it isn’t Friday anymore,  but here’s how last week went.  Poorly.

I was tired, weak, gassy, and foggy-brained.  Some other celiac symptoms came back, so I’m suspecting that, somewhere, gluten invaded my food.  Who knows where?  For now I’m avoiding anything baked, because perhaps our gluten-free flour, from a bulk food store, is contaminated.  On the other hand, perhaps it was the new brand of chips I bought when I was out too long without food.  They came from a wheat-free facility, and contained no other obvious sources of gluten, but the bag did not say ‘gluten free’.  (Hmm.)

Even so, I had 3 busy mornings, and perhaps all the bad health was due to trying to do too much?  I don’t know, but the Saturday browsing touristy shops with friends from church was fun, although exhausting.  And finishing the garden was necessary, but exhausting.  And freezing soup herbs the next day was great, but very tiring.

Fit Mommy goals for this week:  get over whatever it was or is.  Eat well.  Take it easy.  Trust God.

I do hope that this post will be an encouragement to someone else struggling with health issues.

    Annie Kate,

I have to work in admissions today, and I know it will be busy since we had a holiday weekend. I doubt that I’ll have a chance to check back here anytime soon. Could you please post my link? Thanks!
